Bringing traffic to your website is goal
for all the webmasters. If we can filter and bring only targeted
visitors, then it will increase conversions. Below, I have given
some quick and easy ways to bring targeted visitors.
Before starting let me explain to you; you will have to work
manually in order to get some results.
1. Create a list of press release websites and make this list in
excel file. Register with all these websites and store all login
information in a place to get them easily when required.
If you do not know what press release website is? Search Google for
free press release websites. You will see lots of websites offering
free press release service.
Another good way to find good PR website: search for your product,
services. You will find little news content showing in first page of
Google result. Open these websites and check if they offer free
press release service. You have to target these websites.
(Preferably you should have best 20 websites for your industry)
2. Create a list of article websites, here again you have to
register with them all manually. Save this list in excel file with
username & password.
(For starting you should have 50 good article websites)
3. Search for free directories, spend your time in filtering them
and select them based on your product & services. You should select
best 100 directories, register with them all and create a list in
excel format. Save all username & password. You can find a list here

There are thousands of directories but as I said, select only best
100 and make sure they have relevant categories. Never do a
reciprocal linking. Generally these websites offer free one way
links but they ask you for a link for a better and faster listing,
you should avoid that. Try to give good title and description for
your listing. Lets take an example, if you are in business of
selling tour package you should write something like this.
Title: Tour packages to <destination name> offered by <Company
name>.
Description: <Company name> offers tour packages to <destination 1,
destination 2, destination N>, we are in business of tourism from
past <Number of years>
Do not make it very big or very small, keep it understandable and
while doing submission you should change title after every 10th
submission to target another set of keywords.
For example if you are writing one title in first 10 submission,
make sure you are changing the title from 11th submission and this
way you can make it more natural.
4. Search for review websites, find best 10 websites offering review
for products & services you are offering. Create account with them
and write genuine information about your website, products &
services. All these information should be saved for future use.
Links from these websites help you and your customers as well, do
not worry about bad remarks, if you find a situation where your
competitor is writing something wrong to create bad name, reply
polity, you will not see them after 2 months, keep patience. Such
people are not for long time.
5. Now time is for social media, create pages, accounts with social
media websites. Do not go for volume, create account with FaceBook,
Twitter, MySpace & Digg, You should give a bookmark option on your
every page, so people can recommend your page if they like. You
should not use social media websites to post each & every link you
have. Your them with responsibility.
6. Now you should create a webmasters account with Google, if you do
not have one. Google offers free webmasters account, you can sign up
http://www.google.com/webmasters/
7. Now add your website to this new account and create one xml
sitemap, you can check http://www.indian-seo.com/SEOArticles/google-xml-sitemap.php
to know how to create xml site map.
8. You should submit this sitemap to Google through Googles
webmasters account.
Now the functional part, till now we have these things ready:
List of press release websites
List of Article websites
List of review websites
Social media website list, your have account with them and
Webmasters account, you have create and uploaded xml sitemap
For tracking your progress you can create statcounter account &
Google analytics account. I recommend them both.
Now you should download any open source project management tool like
the one available on projity.com
This will help you in scheduling the entire
SEO project. Once you
have installed this, you can open and create your first project.
Schedule work as given below:
Plan for first 30 days
You should write 1 article and 1 press release daily
You should do submission every alternative day and not daily for
both articles and PR content. You will be submitting 2 articles & 2
PR every alternative day.
By the end of 30 days you should have 30 articles and 30 PR written
and published into 20 PR websites and 50 article website.
Make sure that you are having links from these articles and PR
content to your website, distribute links to all pages, you should
get links to inner pages as well. All links should be relevant to
topic. Some article websites offers links only form authors
profile, so create a good profile with one paragraph of information
about the services you offer. Here you can have a link pointing to
home page of website. Do not give like to www.yourdomainname.com/index.html
or index.asp, better give link to www.yourdomainname.com
Before you start writing all these articles & PRs you should do a
small keyword research by using https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Keyword research in very important part of the entire SEO process,
using this free tool you can have an idea what people are searching
for, and how many times people are searching these keywords, how
tough it is to get ranking for a particular keyword.
Use this adwords keyword tool and check carefully each & every
keyword you see.
Download excel files with keyword list and short them in ascending
order, easy to tough keywords. Remove all those keywords from list
which is not relevant and save this final list.
You have to write articles for each keyword relevant to your
business. Each and every keyword in this list can bring traffic to
your website.
Using webmasters account, you should keep an eye on number of links
pointing to your website as displayed in webmasters account. You can
check that by clicking on Dashboard in webmasters account. Google
offers some features like info:www.domainname.com and
link:www.domainname.com so on, you can read all this here: http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/topic.py?topic=351
Google never displays the real number of back links known, but you
can use webmasters account to get an idea.
If your website is new, it can take up to a week time to start
displaying links and other details in webmasters account, make sure
you have validated your website by uploading html file given by
webmasters tool account.
You should create a section on your websites for articles and
publish all these articles and PR content. There are few very
important points you should keep in mind while writing these
articles:
Write what is relevant to your business
Never copy content from some other websites
Give a good title, relevant to the topic
Refer, link to other websites only if it is really required
Write in simple language so that users can read and understand
easily
Avoid grammatical and spelling mistakes
Use Googles translator tool so that users who do not know English
language can read and get benefited from your information
Publish content as per schedule, never make it too much or too less,
keep a pace and maintain that.
Once you reach 10,000 links according to webmasters account (number
of websites linking to you) you can concentrate on building an
authority website, you can stop publishing your articles to these
third party websites. This is not a must, you can always continue
doing this, but at this point you should spend your time on your own
website. You should better spend your time on writing valuable
information related to your business, services & products.
You can double your efforts on writing articles once you reach 10
thousand back-link, now you can create a new schedule and write 2
articles daily, publish them on your own website every day.

system like wordpress,
I recommend wordpress because it is easy for new users and very much
SEO friendly.

You should read this article from the top to the bottom and
understand what I wanted to tell you, and follow this for 2 months,
I am sure you will see increased numbers of targeted visitors. If
